The 9 and 10 May 2024 Formare attended the kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ CoVE Project SHOREWINNER – Southern European Community for Offshore Wind Energy, hosted by the University of Coruña – Industrial Campus of Ferrol.
The project, led by by P.PORTO via Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, is committed to establish an offshore community of practice by collaborating with five Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Cyprus to explore the potential of offshore wind energy resources in the Mediterranean Sea. The community promotes collaboration and partnerships among VET institutions, higher education institutions, businesses, research groups, and industry representatives.
The kick-off session featured a warm welcome from the project coordinator and insightful presentations from project leaders outlining their respective tasks and responsibilities.
Formare, as partner of the project, is thrilled to embark on this challenging journey aimed at developing excellent vocational education and training curricula, foster cross-border cooperation, and drive skill development and innovation in the offshore wind energy sector.
