On September 29, the event MEDBLEUE 2022- Conférence internationale sur l’économie bleue durable, has started in Tunisi organised by WestMed – Maritime Cluster Alliance. Among the topics addressed, a particular focus was dedicated to Blue Skills, Entrepreneurship, Research and Innovation for the Blue Economy. In this context, Lidia Rossi, Project Manager of ForMare – National Shipping Hub illustrated the Erasmus+ Project MarMED – Maritime cluster Management Education Development.
The project is the result of a strong collaboration between ForMare, the Maritime Clusters belonging to the WestMed Alliance Network, and research and training entities operating in the Mediterranean Area. MarMED aims at upgrading the skills of Maritime Cluster Managers in order to address the emerging needs of Capacity Building and Leadership at the European and International level, in order to increase the level of innovation and competitiveness as well as to define a new highly qualified professional profile in the Blue Economy sector.
The project last 24 months and it aims at bridging the skills gaps of managers; creating a new curriculum for the upgrading and retraining of Cluster Managers that will function as a transferable capacity building model for the Mediterranean Maritime Clusters.
